More than 250 people have been taken into custody in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of continuing federal immigration control measures, according to government statements.

Widening Federal Actions

Charlotte represents the latest American city to face strengthened federal deployment, following analogous operations in larger metropolitan areas like Chicago and Los Angeles earlier this year. Federal authorities have claimed that those detained include individuals with criminal backgrounds and organized crime affiliates.

Local Opposition
